K-12 Food Rescue is proud to announce a curriculum for all K-12 student groups, but one that was designed by Carolyn Crafton Brooks, Functional Academic Educator at Westfield MS. Click on this image to acquire the curriculum for a great Project Based Learning activity for all grade levels. A teacher's worth is priceless. For two years, Food Rescue was in communication with Washington Township Schools. A face to face meeting was even held in 2015, and then there were setbacks. Difficulties to overcome. Problems to solve, and it seemed the obstacles might be too numerous. But then one teacher, Emily Dickerson, revealed the challenge to her students, and they created a video, and it made all the difference in the world. In January, her class and entire grade level will be piloting the first K-12 Food Rescue program in Washington Township School in Indianapolis. So what has Emily really done? She's made her students believe they can make a difference in that world. Helped them believe in themselves. Helped them discover purpose. It's time to thank a teacher today. They do it every day, and our world is better becasue they care! |
